My latest read is a book Jim Loehr. It's been around for a few years (published in 2008). But I decided to look at it through a slightly non-conventional lens. The Power of Story is a self-help book that espouses the approach Loehr's Human Performance Institute (HPI) has used to guide professional athletes the likes of such as Pete Sampras , Martina Navratilova , and Monica Seles. My interest in this book is in using stories and storytelling to drive not personal change, but business change. More on that later. So far, I'm encouraged at what I see and plan to apply some of HPI's thinking in upcoming planning sessions. A recommended read for anyone who uses storytelling in their own lives, professionally and/or personally.
