Cisco = Collaboration. WebEx = Meetings??
Cisco continues to push collaboration as a key differentiator. Recent announcements focus on mobile integration with iPod and iPad. The company has built out its collaboration suite of products and services with an impressive array of new tools and capabilities.
But there can be some confusion. WebEx, part of Cisco since 2007, is synonymous with Web Conferencing. Not so much Collaboration. Ironically though, WebEx needs to be positioned much closer to a collaborative value prop as conferencing becomes more and more commoditized. As WebEx get pulled more deeply into the Cisco brand family, positioning will become incredibly important to ensure both End User and Enterprise are reached with the right message.
